Charles E. Stanley Jr. holds a bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a master’s degree in international studies from the University of South Carolina. He completed further post-graduate work at the State University of New York at Albany. Now retired, he held a number of important positions in New York State government, serving as an advisor to Governor George Pataki during the State’s response to the 9-11 World Trade Center disaster. He has also taught graduate-level courses as an adjunct professor at Marist College.
He is the author of the upcoming book, The Lost Airmen: The True Story of US Bomber Crews Stranded Behind Enemy Lines in Yugoslavia during World War II. His author page is www.charlesstanleyjr.com.
